Battle Summary:
Players & Armies:
Sigmar's Fury (Empire, Kaïo) vs. (Tomb Kings
of Khemri, Wenzel Bogaert).
Points: 2000 points.
Outcome: Massacre for the Empire.
About the battle:
-
Both my level 2
wizards had the Light Spell Burning Gaze. Together with the bound
spell of the War Altar these were a real harassment for the undead.
-
In turn two the
pistoliers killed the Hierophant. The fact they could get to the
high ground and shoot over the 'covering' light horsemen was
something Wenzel hadn't taken into account. Wenzel had most of his
troops within the 'leadership 10'-range of his Tomb King keeping him
from loosing lot's of troops to crumbling. In this same turn my
steam tank destroyed one of Wenzie's bone giants.
-
In his turn 2 one of
the scorpions got lost but not allowing me victory points. Wenzel
was able to cast urgency on his Tomb King with 3 chariot retinue and
declared a charge on my swordsmen containing both my mages. They
fled and the Tomb King ended up in front of a 'firing squad'
containing a helblaster, a great canon, crossbows and outriders. The
second bone giant charged the steam tank and was able to do one
wound on it.
-
After rallying the
swordsmen the retinue of the Tomb King was completely blown away
by magical and normal ranged attacks. In the proces the King also
lost his chariot and suffered two wound himself. In the same turn
the bone giant was grinded to dust by the steam tank.
-
As a good leader the
Tomb King was the last Khemrian to join his forefathers after a
charge of the steam tank.
