Many centuries ago the Elven folk populated most of what we know today as the Old World. They built large cities and towns near important points for military and economic purposes. One of the most recent towns is Haeamarth. Originally built between a large forest and a large curve in the river Luinalda, Haeamarth became a prosperous center of trade. Although growing constantly the town never got the statute of being a city. The growth resulted in having a few 'suburbs': Dínquarë, Haebrethil and Nuquernagon.

As the centuries past most Elven towns and cities on the main land were destroyed by other races that were growing more powerful. The Town Garrison of Haeamarth, mostly built of citizen troopers, however was always able to keep Haeamarth from being destroyed. This was mostly because of the great military capabilities of Nefhilion, a former Commander of the Ulthuan Phoenix Guard, and his two sons: Gorbrethil and Goralataion.

As commander of the Phoenix Guard, Nefhilion had fought many battles and wars and not once he had suffered injuries. This was probably due to his agility and swiftness, even when handling a halberd. Even as a young soldier he had kept records of every battle he was in. He learned of the mistakes of his leaders as he did of his own failures and has never made the same mistake twice in battle. Since he had retired from the Phoenix Guard, he had moved to Haeamarth. Here he lived in peace until the High Elves were started to be persecuted in the Old World. Hearing of numerous raids on other Elven town he organized the defense of the town and he has done so ever since. From then on all inhabitants were introduced in the art of warfare, making Haeamarth a safe passage for all Elves to return to Ulthuan.

Following the steps of his father, the oldest son, Goralataion did his military service with the Phoenix Guard of Ulthuan. Being strongly build for an Elf, he soon built up a reputation and became the personal body guard of the Phoenix King himself. After doing the double term of any normal soldier and after saving the Phoenix King for at least 3 times he was awarded the command of a regiment of Phoenix Guard of choice. He demanded the Phoenix King if he could take a company of the capitol Phoenix Guard and join his father in Haeamarth. This strange request was fulfilled and Goralataion returned to his home town, the only High Elf town on the main land. He placed himself under command of his father and has taken on the training of the citizens as his responsibility.

Gorbrethil also went back to Ulthuan do to his military service. Unlike his father and brother he did not join the Phoenix Guard. He joined the Swordmasters of Hoeth. He served the guardians of the Tower for many years and could always be found in the thick of the fighting. Once he and 4 other Swordmasters kept off an treacherous Dark Elves attack on the sacred Tower of Hoeth defending the small passage at the bottom of the tower. They were outnumbered 50 to one but they held their ground for 4 hours, enabling magically requested reinforcements to relieve the Tower. For this, he and his companions received the rank of Commander and were awarded the Swordmaster Honour. When Gorbrethil returned to Haeamarth, he vowed that no one would ever conquer the town while he was alive, a vow which was followed by his father and brother.

Although frequently besieged by Greenskins, Dark Elves, Adepts of Chaos and the Horned Rat or even by Dwarfs and Human tribes, Haeamarth still stands. The commanders of the town can count on the support of Ulthuan but have also repelled many raids on their own. The suburbs were not always kept from harm but the main town has never been overtaken. Haeamarth and its leaders have become legendary and are the subject of many odes and stories song and told by Elves and humans.
