To clear things out: these rules are in no way official. They are just used in battles amongst ourselves. On the second scroll on the left you can also find a number of scenario's we've invented.

'2=1'-rule:

Maybe our most important rule when playing 'multiple player'-battles. When making the army list for each alliance only one general and only one battle standard bearer are chosen. Also the options for the combined forces must be met. For example: an alliance of 2000 pts Dwarves and 2000 pts Empire is counted as being one army of 4000 points so 8 heroes (of which 3 lords) can be chosen, at least 5 core units must be fielded, 6 special choices and 4 rares are allowed. The number of power and dispel dice that are given is 2 per army (as it is one army) with the exception of an alliance with dwarves where there is given an extra dice per dwarf ally.

'Shooting a model in cover'-rule:

Rule for war machines who have no 'To Hit'-throw or guessed range such as the Empire Helblaster Volley Gun and the Dwarf Organ Gun. When shooting with such war machines at a single model (on foot or mounted on a steed that's not a large target) that is in cover the to wound roll gets a -1 penalty. So to inflict a strength 5 wound on a toughness 5 model in cover you will need a 5 instead of a 4. When it comes to calculating the armour save modifier there the complete modifier for the strength 5 is used, being -2 or -3 if armour piercing. Note that this role applies for a single model and not for a unit in cover as a whole unit can not take full advantage of cover.

Battle Field Setup:

Both adversaries pick a side of the table. Now they roll for scenery on one of the scenery lists in the rule book. The piece of scenery rolled must be deployed at a minimum distance of 20" of your opponent's side (Note: this means that you can put things in the deployment zone at your own side). After all the scenery has been placed (number is mutually agreed) both sides throw a D6. The one who throws higher may choose his side to deploy his/their army.

Battle Field Size:

When playing equal to or less then 2000 points the game is played on 48"x48". Any larger battles are played on at least 72"x48". This to allow outmanouvrement by certain units/armies who really need this kind of space
