...
Rescue is on its way!"
Objective:
Armies:
-
2x 1500 points of attackers (two
separate armies).
-
2x 750 points of defenders that will
be deployed in the central zone.
-
2x 750 points of relief force that
will enter the game in the third round of combat.
Remark
: the defender- and relief forces all contain at least one hero model.
Victory Conditions:
-
Defenders perspective : 2000 points
minus value of attacking units in the central zone.
-
Points for attacking units as per
rules in warhammer rulebook 7th edition (units and characters
equal or below half models or wounds = half the unit or character points) in
the central zone.
(no points for table quarters, captured
banners, destroyed generals and alike)
Battle length :
The battle lasts for 8 turns.
Start of the battle :
The defenders have the first turn.
Deployment rules :

-
Zone C : 2x 750 points of defenders
force are deployed behind several linear obstacles. The lines of obstacles
are treated like described in the warhammer rules book.
-
Zone A and E : 2x 1500 points of
attackers (one full 1500 points army per zone, no mixing)
-
Attackers deploy first apart from
scouts, defenders deploy subsequently including scouts, attackers finally
deploy their scouts.
-
The relief force enters in the
following way :
-
In the beginning of the
defender’s round 4 .
-
The relief force units enter the
field anywhere along the 48” table width of zones A and E, opposite to
the defending forces, just like if they came onto the table after having
pursued an enemy off the table (see warhammer rules book). The
controlling players may choose which relief force enters where, but both
forces may not enter from the same edge.
Special rules :
-
The defending forces are immune to
panic as long as they are (partially) in zone C, regardless
if they ever left the zone.
-
There are no restrictions for both
attackers and defenders regarding units that can emerge in later turns.
-
The marshall-rules as per general’s
compendium can be used to determine the overall general of both defenders
and attackers, with all benefits and drawbacks as mentioned in the book.
Note :
This scenario can also be played with
larger forces, as long as all points values are adapted in the same way.
Example :
One should distribute heroes and lords
in a balanced way between defending and relief forces.
One should consider at least 24” of
table width per 1000 points of a single attacker’s force.
Example :
In the case of 2x 2000 points of
attackers, it is best to keep the 48” width.
If one considers 2x 3000 points of
attackers, it is better to increase the table width to 72”.
